
Jakarta, Indonesia – June 11, 2025 – Global IT firm FPT and Indika Energy, Indonesia’s leading diversified investment company, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a strategic collaboration in the fields of Smart City development and Digital Transformation.
The MoU outlines a collaboration framework between Indika Energy and FPT to explore and implement Smart City Innovation, including efficient transportation systems, enhanced connectivity, sustainable urban planning, and improved urban security, as well as Digital Transformation solutions to support Indika Energy’s ongoing diversification strategy and digital ventures. These efforts will leverage FPT’s decades of domain expertise and technologies such as Optical Character Recognition (OCR), Robotic Process Automation (RPA), and AI-powered chatbots.

The partnership marks a significant milestone in Indika Energy’s green energy shift, targeting 50% of its revenue from non-coal sectors by 2028 and aiming to achieve net-zero by 2050. Through its digital arm, Xapiens Teknologi Indonesia, the company has been delivering cutting-edge ICT solutions including artificial intelligence (AI), cloud computing, ERP systems, data analytics, and cybersecurity.
